To find your current conversion rate, all you do is take how many people completed the desired action of your website and divide it by your site's traffic. Conversion Rate Optimization; otherwise known as CRO, is the process of increasing the rate at which your website's traffic converts. Let's say you have 500 people visit your site. Of those 500 people, 50 bought your product. You would end up with a 10% conversion rate; 50/500=10%. Now if you improved that process by finding out what might be stopping people from making that purchase, and you made an extra 50 sales, your new conversion rate would be 20%. 100/500=20%.
